Tourism Projects
Cynefin provides planning policy advice to companies and individuals who want to develop tourism projects. A proposal for a large, woodland caravan site met with opposition when first conceived but Cynefin was able to whittle away policy objections through careful attention to the details of the proposal.

A tourism development project was approved but with a condition limiting the the length of time any individual could stay in the property to 28 days in any year. By going to appeal on this condition Cynefin was successful in getting this condition removed completely.

Affordable and other housing projects

Housing developments of even modest proportions now frequently involve the negotiation of affordable housing quotas and provision of evidence of local need. Cynefin provided a housing needs assessment in support of a large affordable housing project in Anglesey.
Being aware of the current stage of the development plan is essential to ensure that proposals to develop land have the best chance of succeeding. Cynefin provided evidence to the development plan public inquiry in support of a large area of potential housing land in Gwynedd which is one of several competing sites in the village.

Employment Projects

Cynefin worked with the new owner of a run-down industrial site and came up with proposals to redevelop the site to its maximum potential within the prevailing planning policy framework.
