WEBMASTER CYNEFIN 2009

Cynefin works for a variety of clients such as councils and agencies, developers, farmers and householders

Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed extension of the Llangollen railway was completed in 2008 with further work on the effects on a SAC still ongoing.

Farming Connect - planning advice service
During 2005-2006 Cynefin provided a series of evening events explaining the planning process to farmers who were interested in diversifying their businesses. Over 100 personal planning advice sessions were also conducted helping farmers understand how planning might affect thier own proposals.

North Wales Economic Forum - tourism brown signs review
Cynefin interviewed all the major stakeholders in the provision of White on Brown Tourism signs and reviewed how the service operates across North Wales. Stage 2 of the project provided all the service providers with a draft handbook to help improve consistency throughout the area.

A proposal for a large, woodland caravan site met with opposition when first conceived but Cynefin was able to whittle away policy objections through careful attention to the details of the proposal.

A tourism development project was approved but with a condition limiting the the length of time any individual could stay in the property to 28 days in any year. By going to appeal on this condition Cynefin was successful in getting this condition removed completely.
