Anglesey County Council – planning enforcement
Cynefin assisted Anglesey County Council’s Planning Control Service with their enforcement work. The aims of the contract were to clear up a backlog of enforcement cases brought about by long term staffing problems, to provide an analysis of the enforcement service's structure with recommendations for future action, and to provide high quality resources to increase understanding amongst the public, staff and councillors of the enforcement system, its procedures and purpose.

Gwynedd Council – industrial development capacity study

Cynefin appraised the existing provision of sites and land for business development in Gwynedd and determined the demand for such sites for the period 2000-2015. The appraisal took into account the views and aspirations of current business managers and concluded that there is adequate land available to cater for business development over the next fifteen years though there is likely to be a need for more business units of all sizes. The report recommended that a monitoring programme be put in place to assess the changing needs, ensuring that land or building shortages or new development opportunities can be identified at an early stage.

Anglesey and Gwynedd Councils - PROW surveys
Surveys of the condition, ease of access and obstructions on footpaths in Anglesey and Gwynedd were undertaken in 2005/6. Cynefin worked in association with Exegesis using hand held survey equipment incorporating digital OS maps, GPS and photographic recording of features.

Countryside Council for Wales - woodlands survey
In 2006 Cynefin carried out a condition survey of Annex 1 woodland habitats at four Special Areas of Conservation (SACs) in north and mind Wales. The results will help inform site management, enable reporting on the condition and contribute to the assessment of the conservation status of these habitats.
